What if every part of the CRE lifecycle, origination, servicing, and valuation, worked as one?
In this video, William Trepp, COO and Co-Founder of Rockport, shares how two decades of development led to a single, centralized platform built for the way commercial real estate professionals actually work.
He explains why leading lenders and appraisers are turning away from disconnected systems in favor of one trusted source where data, reporting, and insight stay aligned across every stage of the deal.
That concept became Rockport’s full product suite: CORE, ACT, and VAL, designed to unify information, eliminate duplication, and give professionals the clarity to manage their entire business in one place.

That's why we ended up inventing Rockport to centralize all that data, give you clarity in your reporting, one source of truth, and ultimately your entire business in one spot. CORE, ACT, and VAL have been made to work together. One is the loan origination underwriting asset management system. Then ACT is the module for accounting and servicing that can be plugged on top of that. And VAL is the valuation tool that you can value any property no matter how complex. And then together, they form the Rockport product suite.
Ultimately, a user doesn't want to have three different systems that barely talk to each other, have different user interfaces, different experience, and different vendors. What they want is one central partner that they can work with and know that the products are made to work together. Rockport’s products, or modules as we think of them, are meant to work together, and so the data passes seamlessly. And that way each user type can have the system they prefer but have all the information centralized and put together.
There is a top ten insurance company who came to us a couple years ago and said that they needed a holistic system for their entire commercial real estate division. So we gave them CORE for the loan pipeline origination asset management system and then ACT for the accounting and servicing. Those are linked together, and then VAL for the valuation. And together, they knew that they only had to deal with Rockport and that all their needs were taken care of. Rockport's full product suite has taken about twenty years at this point to build out.
And for clarity, Rockport at this point is up to a hundred people, so that's an awful lot of work that has gone into that. You always think these things can be simple, but they aren't in commercial real estate lenders, especially large enterprise ones, really expect a full product suite and it just takes, well, two decades to get there. Well, as someone who used to use disparate systems and Excel files before I came to Rockport, I can tell you that it's just a very rough way to conduct your business.
