Show me your friends, your colleagues, your partners, and I'll show you your future. My name is Kent Waltman. I'm managing director at Rockport. I started in October of 2024. I've got a long resume of experience all in and around real estate finance. My business partner and I were a competitor of Rockport’s for many years. To my last stop with SitusAMC, where I got the benefit of just working with a tremendous number of very good people throughout my career. And that's been a difference maker for me and one in which I've learned that people make the difference and really everything we're doing is about people.
They're involved in every decision, every business process. So, I've had some good mentors in that regard and just been blessed to work with good people through each stage of my career. And I'm excited to be able to do that here at Rockport. It's interesting, as I evaluated what I wanted to do next in my career. I began to focus on the question of who would I be working with? And I think that experience is not dissimilar to a customer, a large financial institution making a decision about a partner who's going to deliver an enterprise level software solution that's mission critical to their business.
The who matters. Understanding who's behind delivery of that software and services, understanding their capabilities, their commitment to the marketplace. Their track record of success. The who is the preeminent question that must be answered by a customer when you're evaluating this. This company. Is the right choice for companies who value the who and who are evaluating that long-term relationship and the provision of mission critical enterprise level software. So, I already had good basic experience with them and then just transparent conversations with Will and Rick and the leadership team here at Rockport.
I became very comfortable that there was a lot of common ground in terms of values and priorities that were not just words because I had that history of experience in terms of competing with them. I knew that their actions supported what they were telling me in those conversations. So, it was a natural fit. I became very convinced that there was a lot of common ground in that regard.
